From the predictions made on September 12, here’s what happened on October 4.
Announcement Date
Wrong, off by a week.
The Three AgendaItems
one-and-a-half out of three – iPod nano / iPod touch, iOS, iPhone 4S update announced, versus prediction of iPod nano, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5.
iPod nano
Wrong on camera, right on “no big price drop.”
Low Cost iPhone
Right on a redesigned iPhone 4 for the low-cost model, right that there is indeed a free iPhone, wrong on replacing the iPod touch, wrong on the low-cost being the 4S.
iPhone 5
Wrong on iPhone “5.” Wrong on no 64GB model.
Voice Assistant
Right on using Siri, right on local/server voice recognition sharing, right on integration with internet (though not Watson, but Wolfram), right on messaging capabilities, right on it being steps beyond current Apple & Android offerings.
iPod Classic
Wrong – it lives!
Not Happening
Right on no LTE, and right on no iPad 3.
